Access, Sharing & Engaging Your Inner Social Leader: mtnsocial09

Mountain Social 2009 is looking for a speaker to fill the first slot, so I thought I would submit the following abstract for consideration:
Social Media not only is a way to develop consumer oriented relationships, but also to share ideas and gather folks around causes, concepts and shared interests. This session will focus on developing a discussion around the persona’s which drive a given sites readership and community development. 3 key things will be examined in this discussion based on several key projects and examples:
- Personas can make or break a blog, so then why do folks like mashable, copyblogger and problogger become so successful? Content and Creativity.
- Problems exist in every media channel, social media is not different. How does social media acknowledge the challenges in the space?
- Profits are key to any initiative, but is that why most people blog?
This session provides an open forum to share ideas and provides examples of where people/personas tackled problems and either did or didn’t achieve profits.
